At Lithica Fitness, we incorporate metcon style circuits into our training using a wide selection of tools at our disposal. You will hit multiple muscle groups at the same time raising heart rate, and targeting certain energy systems. You’ll burn lots of calories in a short space of time. The intensities of sessions can be adapted depending on specific energy systems targeted and modified for individual needs and various fitness levels.

At Lithica Fitness we believe fitness should be functional and should essentially cover all planes of movement we use in daily life, to prepare us for whatever endeavor life can throw at us. Essentially, these are exercises designed to mimic real-life movements, such as moving loads forwards, backward, laterally, bending, rotating, pushing, pulling, and jumping. By engaging in these exercises, you can improve your overall strength, flexibility, and coordination and increase your range of motion. Reducing your risk of injury while making it easier to perform everyday tasks more efficiently.

When it comes to building strength at Lithica Fitness, compound movements are at the centre, these incorporate multiple muscle groups simultaneously. They are key to building functional strength, power, and coordination, increased muscle activation, and improved strength gains which in turn increases performance.

Multi-plane movements

At the core of Lithica Fitness's philosophy is multi-plane (multi-directional) movement, essential for a strong core and the spinal erector muscles that support the spine. This is important for your stability and maintaining proper posture. As a foundation, this will lead to greater strength gains and a reduced chance of lower back pain which is very common in those who are only training in single-plane movements.
